Sounds like your son has a really bad marijuana addiction. He needs an intervention and make him start going to marijuanamous meetings.

Stop going to shithole countries

Always carry a $100 bill in Carribean. You offer to pay this as the “fine” on the spot and they will take it.

So instead of buying a cigar from one of the shops he bought it from some shady guy on the street? Your kid was buying drugs, and it was probably something heavier than pot which he doesn't need to be on a foreign cruise to get.
Wow, I guess that also means he and his girlfriend may have been buying children to harvest their organs on the black market too. Thanks for making me aware of his drug addiction and potential dealings in organ harvesting for the black market.

It was a set up, report it to US Embassy, they will confirm it and tell the Bahama Mamas to cut the bullshite out or they will get travel advisory for this bullshite.
frick the cruise line, go after those mfers hard. If you can get your local news media to cover if they will eat it up and u can duck them up, but make sure you son is 100% accurate.

Have you ever been on a cruise? Your kid is lying to you. Not to mention how weird it is to be on a cruise with your gf but you have such a hankering for a "Cuban cigar" that you buy from some side street hustler instead of one of the several cigar shops in the Port.
All of these cruise lines have people on staff whose sole job is telling you where and how to buy whatever you want. Just be thankful your son wasn't in a worse country.

Okay, thanks for your incredible insight and wisdom based on such a limited knowledge of the parties involved. I'll immediately enroll him in drug therapy when he returns.

Just thank your lucky stars that he was not an oppressed WNBA player, he would be in the Bahama prisons for a decade.

Your boy and his gf were easy targets. Never and I mean never buy anything even remotely possible to be suspect in those places outside of the duty free shops in the cruise port. I’d imagine since coronavirus hit and tanked the cruise industry, the locals are even more desperate now.

It’s best not to leave the ship in the Bahamas unless it’s on an excursion booked through the cruise.
