Whether or not you believe in the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth, what cannot be denied is He is unquestionably the most influential human that has ever lived. No one before or since Him has changed the world or had a bigger impact on the world. And here we are over 2,000 years past his crucifixion and his influence is still global.
So this leads to the obvious question, how is it possible this seemingly unremarkable man has had such a lasting and transformative influence on the world?
When the perpetuation of the myth brings in billions of dollars annually, not to mention unimaginable control over humans, that myth will last for centuries.
It's like cancer or the international banking cabal...too big to fail.

That has to be frustrating knowing that God will never die and you will play second fiddle for all of eternity.

Yeah because in those first years when the Apostles went on their mission to evangelize and the early Christians were severely persecuted - they were totally bringing in the dough. Such extravagant life styles they led.

How did it get so big? Think about it. At the moment of His death on the cross, Christ was homeless, penniless, vilified by the masses, and abandoned by all of his followers.

Greed, propaganda, and the gullible.

Nothing ever changes.

That’s an entirely nonsensical answer and you know it. Stop with the dismissive BS. Tell me logically, based on what we know of the circumstances of Christ’s life & death that he was remembered even for one generation past his crucifixion. At the moment of his death he was all but alone and villified by the masses. Further, after his death following him meant you would be persecuted or even killed for believing in Him. People had nothing to gain from a logical standpoint. There was no obvious physical upside to joining this new “cult” as it was thought of in the first century AD. But despite all this people did join and it spread across the world, lasting now two thousand years and counting. What can you say logically changed it all.

There's nothing more logical than greed, propaganda and the gullible.
It's been played out over and over again since before man walked upright.
What part of that are you questioning?

Explain how you think any of those, especially greed lead anyone to become a follower of Christ immediately after his crucifixion. Why do you possibly think any of them had to gain?

Think of Global Warming. It was a myth put out there to see who would fall for it. Enough people have, to keep it going. Now the repackaged Climate Change is making some folks billions.
The Jesus myth is no different. It's a business proposition that caught on.
It's not as complicated as you're trying to make it.

That’s a terrible comparison. Absolutely terrible. It’s obvious you’re completely ignorant of the history for the first few centuries of Christianity. Go do some actual study and get back to me.

I'm real curious to know what you suggest I study specifically.

Imagine trolling a message board denying Christ on Easter. Ironically I think you have denied him three times

I've always been fascinated by the link between modern Christianity and the Church. The Catholic Church even goes so far as to say that if you don't follow their rules, you won't get into heaven.

But Christ never said anything like that. Christ said specifically that the way to salvation was through your personal relationship with God. In fact, he was openly skeptical of priests, Rabbis, Temples, and Synagogues.

So how did the Church totally take over man's relationship with Christ? And why do Christians identify so closely with their churches?
