Serial is my first podcast to really listen to. I think I would like podcasts that are a continuing story each episode, just like serial but I am open to try whatever.
If you're down for something that is a little out there I highly recommend All Stories Are Fiction. Only download the ones titled All the Faces of the Moon. He's a friend of mine who is a famous (in the theatre world) and controversial monologist. He performs his monologues without a script. All the Faces of the Moon was a 29 part monologue performed over 29 straight nights. One for every stage of the moon. It's a really brilliant work of storytelling.

Adam Carolla
BBC - Desert Island Discs -- A celebrity is interviewed and plays their favorite records. A lot more interesting and entertaining than it sounds. On the air since 1942 -- it's the second oldest radio series in the world (after the Grand Ole Opry). 500+ episodes online -- I've listened to about 40-50, including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Randy Newman, Mel Brooks, Jimmy Stewart, John Cleese, and even Field Marshall Montgomery (from 1969).
In Our Time -- BBC History roundtable discussion. Probably the best show of its type.
BBC Podcasts
How Stuff Works
NPR Fresh Air
Old Time Radio Drama -- Sort of like very short audio books. I just listened to the legendary "The Thing on the Fourble Board" a few days ago. You will never forget the ending -- no matter how hard you try.

What's so good about Carolla? I've never cared for him.

The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
Adam Carolla on and off for a few days/weeks at a time as it can be very repetitive.

Carolla's guests are seldom very interesting -- mostly D list celebs and minor standups -- but his extremely non-PC rants can be hilarious
"My Address to the UN" in his latest book is a masterpiece

Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast is hilarious. Dude goes on a solo, one hour rant every week

I feel like Quagmire when he first found out about online porn. This is ridiculous. I'm going nuts over here.

There's porn online?
Heterosexual porn?
Goddamit people, how about a little help here?

Listened to The American life on the way home tonight. The episode was pretty interesting. They followed a car dealership trying to meet their quota of 129 cars in a month.
