Because there's too many lawyers. You have to have the most outrageous commercial to separate yourself from the rest of the barristers.

First off, the top attorneys obviously don't do TV ads.

With that said, Gordon's a good guy and a great option for settling the average personal injury case. He wouldn't be in my top 10 though if I needed an actual trial attorney to try a case, which seldom happens anyway.

He's not the average douche TV attorney.

Being on TV doesn't mean a lawyer is inferior but it does mean he probably makes a lot of money

Based on the one case I know he worked (not a typical trip and fall or anything with a low settlement), he and his staff seem to be very good at what they do.
