i think it's primarily a social nicety with some value projecting (i'm so caring and considerate) mixed in

i don't really get that stuff, but i think that is more about me (and why my ex told me she thinks i'm autistic)

it's just like the parade of happy birthdays and "likes' in general (2 things i don't really do, either)

I have autism/asperger's but I think it's pretty normal to despise the fake niceness people portray.

Of course I have little idea what normal is so take that with a grain of salt
