Didn't say nuke necessarily, but we'd bring fire and hell upon their heads.
Won't bring back the lost lives or remedy the devastation. And doing so conventionally would be a challenge, as we've seen over the last decade and a half.

We're way down their list of shite to blow up. We're on there, but not at the top.

And under the new deal we'll have to support Iran.

I agree with all of this.
Still think it would happen. A nuke would be the worst thing to ever happen on American soil committed by another country...by far. The world would be forever changed and it would be fricking terrifying.

I assume our intelligence community would know who was responsible for the bomb, much like they knew who was responsible for 9/11.
And a nuke would be 100x worse than 9/11. It would unite our entire country behind all-out-war.
It would galvanize essentially all of NATO, Japan, and Australia. And I think politically there's just no way that Russia and/or China could even voice an objection. Some bad shite would go down, millions of people dead in the Middle East, combatants and civilians. It would be a complete shite-show.

This. Holy frick would the world go mad.

I should have clarified. Within days of them getting a nuclear weapon they'll use it.

Yeah, we're talking modern warfare at full throttle on a scale never seen before.
Its honestly really scary to think about. I'm glad the chances of it happening are slim-to-none.

Domestic terrorism is much more likely on American soil, isn't it? I think I remember a 60 Minutes talking about how much more likely and common it is than attacks on our soil from foreign entities.

No it wouldn't.. Many would say there is no "proof" that a country (Iran) or anyone else was behind it. I'm sure if we sat down and talked with them, they would promise to not do it again..

Oh yeah? Why is that, General?

If they did this, they know they would be wiped from the face of the earth in no time.
No they would not. Who are "we" going to wipe off the face of the earth? If ISIS, which is not a nation and who intermingles with civilians, nukes us, who are we going to attack and how would we wipe them off the face of the earth.
If it were to happen, God forbid, we would posture up, talk big and ultimately do little more than send forces to Iraq to "fight ISIS".
However, if Obama is in office, he will be reluctant to even do that because he would have to admit fault in withdrawing out of Iraq and allowing ISIS to take over.
Let's just pray nothing like that happens because I fear we don't have the leadership in either political party to actually be competent in response.
