re: Slavery reparations- currently $27 is on the table. Would you pay?

So I think the usual argument for reparations are because slaves weren't able to accumulate any wealth to pass down to later generations in turn setting them up better which I find to be a load of crap.
Most of my ancestors came over in the early 1900s and were sharecroppers which sometimes were worse off than slaves. No wealth has accumulated that I've been able to find. Can I get a check also?
Also, hard to swallow pill for some, but honestly most of the slave descendants are better off now than if they'd have stayed in Africa.

I had a DNA test from ancestry.com. I have sub-Saharan DNA from 6-10 generations back. I'm applying for a reparation check.

Some (not all) black Americans have wild misconceptions about white people and inherited wealth. This segment honestly believes that most white Americans are born with trust funds built on antebellum wealth. It's ridiculous.

Half my family was planting potatoes or whatever they did in Ireland and the other half was clawing a civilization out of the dirt in Utah during slavery times. I haven't inherited anything and I don't feel like I owe them a dime.

Technically, I think it's more a blame shift from Georgetown University, which had an endowment of 1.5 BILLION in 2014, toward the students who get it tacked onto their tuition.

So technically, it's not Georgetown making amends. It's their current and future students who are making amends that Georgetown will "manage" for other potential students (I guess).
