I’ve had it for years and pay around $20 for both our vehicles. I’m calling at 8am to see what the Hell is going on. Anyone else have this problem? You may want to check your account

My 1 car is $278/yr, so sounds about right.

Did you buy your car recently? You musta been on some promotion deal when you bought your car?

Just log onto the website and check. You prob got a letter in the mail prior to your renewal at some point, I always do.

Who gives anyone the right to access their checking account?

They send me one and only one renewal notice by email, usually a few weeks before the deadline. Just got one for $21.84 a month. Do nothing, and it auto renews at that full price. I instead call and negotiate a lower rate, a little over $60 a year the last two years. The text chat is the way to go.

One time I let the deadline pass, and they hit my credit card for the full rate. I called and said I messed up and let the deadline pass; intended to call and ask for a discount. The guy cut it in half with no questions and refunded me the difference.

I'm guessing a ton of people do. Do you still mail in checks to pay bills Grandpa?

You are overpaying. Call and you can negotiate it down. You’ll be told that’s the best they can do, but if you threaten to cancel, they’ll transfer you to someone who magically has a better option. I pay around $6 a month.

I always negotiate my bill down and usually between $5-$12 a month. Never the yearly amount at once. Maybe it’s something new but if they don’t refund me I’ll cancel

I went to activate satellite radio in my car, was going through the process and they asked for my social security number. No thanks.

You sure as shite haven’t had it for a few years if you don’t know the first rule of Sirius yet.

Always cancel before it renews. If it auto renews they get you at full price, which is likely more than your car payment.

If you cancel it they end up paying you to stay on, because they know. Next cycle you will likely forget

If you actually pay this you are nuts. They try to hit me every year. Just all them and threaten to cancel it and magically they out of the blue find a promotion. I never have paid more than 75 dollars. Sometimes I get it as cheap as 45.

Do not know why you are getting downvotes for this?

You have to be pretty dumb to let people auto-draft your checking accounts though. People are dumb and lazy though.

They are horrible. I had the worst time canceling years ago and caught them lying about my calling to cancel.

You know there is a lot of space in between those two statements.

You are still giving access to your account by paying bills with a check.
Think about it….someone looks at that check. And it has your name, address, account number, and routing number. Anyone can order checks online with that information and starting writing checks on your account.

My text negotiations needed up at $5.99/month. Came to I think $7.22 with tax & fees.
