Shreveport Officer and Grocery Store Clerk Caught Beating a Shoplifting Suspect

Looks like the cop was swinging the handcuffs at the suspect.

Corporal K. McKenzie was the officer involved in the incident. According to witnesses, Griffin defied orders to stop and took a swing at McKenzie which led to the violent encounter.
Griffin was booked on charges of theft of goods and resisting an officer with force. He suffered several lacerations to his face during the incident.
Police Department spokesman Cpl. Marcus Hines said no complaint about excessive force had been filed against Cpl. McKenzie but that the Department will be reviewing how to better handle these types of situations.
The clerk in the video has not been identified and Brookshire’s officials are reviewing his involvement in the matter.

1. He was resisting, therefore he wasn't being beat
2. The suspect was in control, until he gave up control by resisting, then the cop controlled the situation, and thus is how MFrs get shot
Moral of the story, remain in control, avoid getting into an altercation with the cops or getting your arse shot.

OP, you suck. Female Officer ( yes it matters when dealing with a larger male) trying to arrest a non compliant suspect. She was doing what she could prior to her getting more Police help. Ask Lt. Vickie Wax what she should have done in that situation.. oh yea, you can't. A larger male shoplifting suspect took her gun and shot her in the head. People need to stop second guessing something they have never done or would do.
