My first job was a delivery driver at the Gatti's next to Madison Square Garden. The owner's daughter was kind of hot and we were supposed to go out, but everytime it got near, something would come up.

And speaking of Murrell's, my roommate and I picked up 2 chicks at the bar in Shreve City (it was called Neon Moon or something like that) and I got a handjob out back of Murrells.

Really and truly not a whole lot has changed up here. Except for all the new shopping places by WK Bossier. I can still remember when it was all farm land.

Strawn's is still in its original location plus one in bossier and I can't remember if the other one they opened in Shreveport is still open or not.

There was a rumor that George's Grill was closing and I was pissed. Thank God it was only a rumor.

Yep, now there's a freakin Whataburger where Murrell's used to be. Nothing was better than a plate of beef tips and rice at 2 in the morning from there.

I wonder if Mary is still alive. Man, those waitresses used to put up with a lot of shite.

Sneaking into the adult section of Video 1
Partying in Ashley Ridge behind the Food Lion
Smoking my first cig in the ditch across from Madison Square Garden.
Eastgate movie theatre
Going to St Vincent mall when lots of kids use to hang out there.
Maybe still happens, but having the Byrd bus pelted by rocks after a win at BTW highschool. Coaches made us put our helmets back on for the bus ride.

Being scared out of my pants when we went to Satan School at night.

Murrells being closed and then years later putting in a Whataburger. Shame on you Shreveport.

Kon Tiki- mourned the day it closed
Nan King- miss the great food at 3 am.

Are you talking about that abandoned one out around Wallace Lake dam?

Thats it. Used to be an all black school. Closed down and in the 80's and 90's rumors were all over Shreveport that satan worship took place out there.

It was a right of passage to get the balls to jump the fence and go look at night.

You went past Wallace Lake Damn thru the stop sign and it was further down on the right. Used to have a chain link fence around it.

Was in town last weekend for the first time in a while. Saw that Camp Forbing is now an empty lot.

So many good memories there as a kid, telling all the ghost stories and swimming in the Elvis pool. I'm sure that shopping center will make a killing though.
