Should Maverick have gone after Goose's wife or stayed with old arse Kelly

McGiliis? Obviously Goose's wife was hot for him and he could have easily scored with her as a consolation frick after Goose's death. Meg was also a great deal hotter thn McGillis although she did over do it with plastic surgery later in life Mav had no way of knowing that at the time. In the negative column it must be noted that if Mav would have courted Meg he would have been stuck raising Goose's kids. What are your thoughts?
