I don't know, but I just played an alumni softball tournament in this heat and thought I would die.

Congratulations. You not only have the stupidest, not to mention most ignorant statement, you have 1st AND 2nd place .... all in one entry.

The temperatures are the same as is the humidity as it was 25 entire years ago. In fact I personally witnessed days above 100 which we are far below now.

As to your 2nd stupid/ignorant statement, obviously you are under 25 or you would know nothing has changed. Kids spend more time in A/C maybe? More the reason to have them practice in these conditions. Conditioning is super important. Afterall (git this) f o o t b a l l... i s... s t i l l... p l a y e d... o n... t h e... s a m e... f i e l d s... a s... i t... w a s... 2 5... y e a r s... a g o . Did I print that slow enough for you to understand?

Maybe you should care what we did 25 years ago.

Jesus H Christ. What a stupid thread. What a stupid thought. Your kid either mans up and finds his limits or enjoys life as a metrosexual, at best.

I pity your kids.

Couple of the guys I know who coach try avoid consecutive practices when it's super hot. They may move a practice back, said they get much more out of practice.

Are you referring to your post? If so, I'd say you're right. It literally made no sense.
I didn't realize how many pussies were on this board.
If it makes you bitches feel any better, the amount of full contact days, practice length and total number of practices has been regulated in the past 10 years or so. Which, IMO, makes playing in real games even more dangerous

We had 3 a days then when school started we practiced from 3:00 till dark and if our coach thought we were dragging he turned on the lights. I literally got home some nights between 9:30-10:00.

Our conditioning was great and it had to be we had to play ironman football we only dressed 18 people.

Yes we do live in a different world. Not because it's hotter, because we have ac in our homes in our cars and most at our jobs even in our gyms and shops we have ac. Kids play games on the computer and watch tv inside and instead of playing pick up games on the street or in someone's yard they go to the air-conditioned gym there parents pay for them to be able to go to and being outside working in the summer time? Yeah right, what respectful parents would have their kids outside mowing the lawn in this heat? They pay someone to do their kids chores so they won't get hot. It's all our fault our kids are passing out from heat exhaustion. They aren't used to it! Cut their cords, quit paying for fancy gyms and for other people to do their outside chores. Give them a basketball goal in the driveway, 10 minutes to call their friends to come play, put them outside and tell them they can't come in till dark. Oh yeah and the yard better be mowed weedeated and edged before your friends get here. I bet we have less heat strokes! When they holler that they are thirsty point em to the hose pipe! Not the Fiji water your probably drinking. Yeah I enjoy my ac and Fiji water with the rest of you guys but we earned it they should too. JMO

As long as coaches make sure they stay hydrated. Anyone who equates drinking water several times during practice with being a p***y is retarded

The heat didn't bother me as much as the knee high Dallis grass on the practice field. Bear crawling through that shite would make a young man angry.
