Looking for some ideas for a 4-5 day thanksgiving trip. Will be driving with two kids. Thought about Tennessee, just not sure about the drive for a short trip.

For a shorter trip consider Sandestin.
Stay at the Hilton to use indoor pool.
There is a small Christmas kickoff deal that weekend with fireworks and lights getting turned on etc.
The village has fun stuff for the kids

Rent a cabin on the Soque River in Northeast Georgia. It only abt 45 min north of Atlanta and its beautiful over there that time of yr.

my recommendation would be this place in MS...it is not fancy (actually quite outdated)...the little lake is beautiful and there is a damn good home cooking resturant right on the lake...

Lake Tiak O'Khata

I have stayed there several times and it is the most relaxing place I have ever stayed...

Lots of shopping. Find a heated pool. Not alot of people there you will have the place to yourself.

Egg Bowl 2014 at Oxford, MS on November 29th. Introduce your kids to the less fortunate.
