Two suspects arrested, two at large in Geismar shooting
At approximately 5 p.m. Monday evening, 26-year-old Kentrell Lewis and 20-year-old Jyvariel Harvey turned themselves into authorities, added Sheriff Wiley.
Detectives are now seeking the whereabouts of 25-year-old Johnathan Darville and 22-year-old Javante Haynes for their involvement in the shooting.

After further investigation it was learned that the victim and the four males got into a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. The physical altercation became violent when 22-year-old Javante Haynes pulled a handgun out and shot the victim multiple times. All four men fled the scene.
Kentrell Lewis, 26, of 37346 Anderson Road, Geismar, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder.
Jyvariel Harvey, 20, of 37271 Anderson Road, Geismar, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm. Harvey has a lengthy criminal history resulting in nine arrests with multiple drug charges.
Both were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set.

Shreveport was the dueling capitol of America at one time. Dueling sucked because it allowed a skilled duelist to provoke a less able opponent into a no win situation. Allow an insult to go unchallenged and be considered a coward, or fight a duel that would result in almost certain death.

If you have four guys fighting one person, why the hell do you have to pull a gun and kill someone? I just dont get that shite. Now four guys are going to probably do life in prison over what could have just been an arse beating. We all know that they could have eventually ended up in jail down the road but at least you take your punishment and get out of jail. Instead you are probably going to jail for life bc of one dumbass who took it too far.

Well first, they're not gangsters....they're a bunch of punks...second, these mfs ok here gonna learn to shut the fu@# up. If yall would see what I see, yall would take yall comments and shove them all up yalls mommas arse. Until yall find out that yall father's brother was whooping someone arse, fighting for his life and someone shoots him, leaves him in the streets. Shut the fu@# up. I stay in the area where this happened in 2-300k house neighborhood and everyday my dad has to look dead at the spot his brother was killed. He just so happened to walk on that street to see what all the police were for and it was his own brother
