rumors of 3 shooters with 1 female shooter
like i said on poli board, that's getting into M-word territory
MSNBC is also downplaying the shooting, which is rare and odd

I despise how many people think they're making a point by dropping to that asinine level and slinging stupid comments like that. It is the equivalent to people saying "but, but it's the statues' fault" if something goes down in New Orleans. You're doing yourself or your side no favors by doing that sort of thing.

This is almost always reported in active shooter situations at the beginning. Happened at the Delta State shootings last fall but turned out to be one crazy dude.

That multi shooter rumor would help to justify response, but could also just be a heavy response based on UCLA/LA.
Obviously I hope this turns out to be a limited murder/suicide thing. But, on the other hand, it's annoying how sensationalized the coverage and response is if this turns out to be a small incident.
I don't blame law enforcement if so, I know they don't know the full story at the outset. But I can't help but believe there is some "let's go use our DHS money" in the overwhelming response.

More often than not, I'd say.
I'm glad we have all these immediately-available response teams and cable news to bring us every single development, but for observers trying to figure out if something really serious is going on, it gets more frustrating every year.

There isn't one but saying "How can there be an active shooter in a gun free zone?" is dense AF. It doesn't progress your cause in the slightest bit. Instead it just makes you look petty.
On another note, it is cut from the same cloth as the anti-gun crowd comments after a situation like this. You cannot chastise the left for their agenda while supporting comments like that from the right. Can a tragedy just be a tragedy for a few hours?

why? they're not on the same spectrum
the "gun free zone" stuff is just a ready-made response to the inevitable gun control arguments we all know is coming
it's like the "cut off teh head and the body will die" stuff. stop with the emotional pandering for gun control after these incidents and the other comments dry up. if that doesn't happen, there will be responses ready (like the "gun free zone" comments). if you remove the "gun free zone" comments, then you will do nothing for the gun control desires. therefore, they're not equal

It tells us something. They say the search is ongoing, but the lack of urgency indicates it's over and they're just coving all the bases. Sounds like a murder-suicide.
ETA: Either some kind of relationship issue, a stalker, or a student-teacher conflict.
