The article quotes, accurately, statements made by James Kallstrom (they call him "Ed" though :/ ) former FBI counter terrorism chief, regarding the limitations now being enacted on FBI investigations of Muslims by the Obama admin.
So, shoot the messenger perhaps, but don't ignore the message.

It's absurd that radicalism is protected via political correctness now simply because said radicals back a particular political party.
Shielding groups from outside influence, criticism or even responsibility only breeds more radical behavior. This culture of Political Correctness needs to stop.
