Who you got to send a king cake out of state?

Don't send it USPS. Got one in on friday. IT was freakin destroyed. Box was damaged to hell and the cake was broken apart with icing everywhere but on the cake.

Haydels is the best. Their package includes all kind of fun little trinkets and a mardi gras info mag or something. May even include some local coffee.
Other good option is Mannie Randazzo's in Metairie.
You need to place the order soon and it can be done online.
They will fill up all of the available shipping alotment soon.

I've used Randazzo's twice this year and they're awesome.

You would think, but my relative seemed to have not known this... Pissed me off, got my grandma to resend today with it properly packaged and shipped.

I've used my nearest UPS Store. It gets there the next day. I've had no problems doing it.

my wife had one shipped from Randazzo's last week, it was the best I've had from them. I'm having one from Haydel's come in on Mardi Gras day

They charge $50 for a medium king cake with a bunch of extras in the box and they overnight it. A medium king cake will cost you $20. Are you claiming that you will be able to overnight something the size of a king cake in a proper box for it for $5 or less?
ETA: And seriously, how many times do we need to have this exact thread? During Mardi Gras season, there should just be a sticky at the top that says Manny Randazzo's and Haydel's are the best king cakes ans also the best ones to ship out of state.

I've received several Meche's King Cakes from Lafayette here in Denver without any issue.
I've received 3 now. The only issue I have had was they weren't the freshest, which I figured would be the case. 2 days of shipping and 1 day of sitting in the store takes it's toll, especially here in dry Denver.
I managed to carry one with me for 9 hours of travel from Lafayette, through Houston, to Denver and enjoyed the shite out of it.

This coming stricly from a guy in Birmingham who has never had one fresh in Louisiana, but Haydels was the best. We've had Randazzo's, Haydels, and a few others shipped here from bankers in LA and from clients, and Haydels is 1st and Randazzo's 2nd.

Sucre blows Haydels and Randazzos away. They ship as well.

Just wanted to chime in that I sent a couple to some people out of state a while back from Haydel's. The recipients absolutely loved the king cakes and the extras that came with them. If you are sending them to people who don't know much about Mardi Gras or don't have access to very much in the way of Mardi Gras trinkets and whatnot, I would highly recommend!
Oh, and while they said the king cake was delicious and arrived in great condition, just know that it is more about the entire "experience" than just the cake. That is how I justified spending that much to ship the king cake with Haydel's when I know I could have done it for much cheaper elsewhere.
