I thought Jimbo's(think of poboys)
was on the northeast corner of that intersection. The
other empty corner fronting the mini storage was where
the owner was killed. But my memory may be hazy.

Side stop on Florida was the new Jimbo's for the mid-late 90s crew.

Anybody else remember the Junction on S Sherwood?

Catfish House was great, and so was the old Steak and Ale.

Does any one remember a brief eating establishment on Florida at Sherwood Forest BVLD called Cooleys ? I think they served fish and seafood but I can't remember. Must have been 1978-80 close to where Albertsons was located.

It can come back. Fondren in jackson was in a similar situation 15 years ago. Neighborhood and businesses decided to do something about it. Very nice area now.

Yes, this was across the street from Jimbos facing Old Hammond. There is a storage complex there now. It was a seafood market/restaurant. Owner was robbed and killed in about 2001-2002. Apparently he was very well liked in the community. I remember the name being something Pelican related, or there was a Pelican on the sign.
