I know. Last year I was fishing a pipeline canal for reds and bass and my buddy yelled shark. I thought he was full of shite but sure enough about a 4ft bull shark was right next to the boat.

It looked like a big one. Did it jump a lot?
Next time I hook one in going to flip it on it's back...it's ok I saw it on shark week

Yeah. Towards the end.
We beat that fricker's head in once we got it on the boat.

I spent many a day in the rivers near Covington and Madisonville from the 70's on. I never saw or heard of a bull shark back in the day but there is no doubt they were there. I remember a couple of shark attacks on the south shore back then but not in my neck if the woods. It just goes to show how rare the attacks actually are.

They'll be in the LSU lakes. If they're not already

They caught it in the diversion, that's not too far from the lake so it's not a shocker, I wouldn't expect the sharks to make it north of I-12 up to tiki tubing mainly bc river gets shallow up there

The water gets really high when it rains a lot. I guess it's possible one could swim up and get stuck in a hole somewhere. Highly unlikely though.

I wish specs would come up in numbers up the blind/diversion/amite lol

Wasn't there a movie about this a few years back that had a lot of Tulane students getting eaten?
Or was that set in Ponchatrain?
