Service and Support Animals: How to save money when flying with your pets

There definitely needs to be a more rigorous system in place for service/support animals. Obviously the blind guy needs some help, but it's absurd that someone can claim mental anxiety in Chicago, get diagnosed by a doctor in California, and basically fly for free with a service dog and even a service turtle

I thought about getting my dog registered as a service dog for this very reason.
"I'm depressed unless I have a dog, and she gets to fly free and shed white hair all over the plane, yeah.
