Here is my experience. My neighbor beat his wife ( only found out this detail after the fact) checked her mileage, cut her off from her family, installed cameras in his home so he could watch from work. The wife confided some of this with Mrs Pimp. Later the wife told the husband that she had confided in Mrs Pimp. The husband went on an immediate vendetta against us. Crazy people like to spread their craziness outward. Have your facts straight before intervening and be ready for the craziness that ensues. Because it will.

I hope you called 911. I understand you hesitating because in a domestic dispute someone always goes to jail nowadays and their life is then ruined.

But it sounds like it is beyond a domestic argument. Call the police.

Most likely the security guy knocked on the door in the past; and they said all is fine-- we were just in a spat and the fooljack never checked anything further past the front door opened through the chain lock.

I hope you called 911.

Take bat, leave phone in apartment, follow him when he leaves one day, wait until he reaches and area devoid of cameras, stop him and beat his legs, tell him if he ever touches her again, they won't find his body, drop bat off on the way home.

Go home, eat pancakes.

There's plenty of research in psychology about the mental state of an abuse victim. If they don't pack up and leave, it's not necessarily their fault. Further, males can be abuse victims as well and show similar behaviors in such situations.

I would call the police. It would be different if he was doing it in the hallway when I walked in, but call the law.

You won't live with her. Ring beaten to death on your conscience.

You want her blood on your conscience if something really bad happens? Call the cops and look into a local women's shelter or something and tell them about it, maybe they can get ahold of her.

Confronting may sound heroic but may blow up in your face as many women in this situation are A) deep in denial or B) have some serious Stockholm syndrome

Dude what the frick? Call the fricking police. And never physically get in the middle of a domestic situation like that. Cops will tell you it's one of the most dangerous scenarios they deal with. Lot of emotion running high on all sides.

You're likely to get yourself hurt.
