As you claimed, you're physically formidable.
Maybe that came out wrong: I'm 5'6 and skinny. Definitely not physically formidable.

He doesn't seem to be the reasonable type. I'm not going up there with a pistol, and the only other thing I have are my golf clubs, but after finishing a long night of drinking myself, I'm pretty sure I was in no condition to successfully assault him.
Not your problem just call cops when it happens

I had this exact same situation, guy above me beating his girlfriend. She was in the bathroom screaming "Please don't beat me, please".
I called the cops.
They took him with them, I assume to jail.
A few days later I came out to my car and there was a mostly empty 2 pound bag of sugar hanging from the gas filler opening of my car.
That was one big, mean guy.

Call the cops before he kills her. Why the hell are you even asking?
I was typing as that happened. Figured I may as well post it. I didn't hear a scream that time, but she clearly at least fell to the floor from the bed above my head, if not worse. The question became more rhetorical at that exact point.

Once when I was young, and lived in the hood, I called the cops on my neighbor when he and his wife got into a similar argument outside their garage. He dealt drugs, had come home earlier than expected and caught a dude leaving his condo. He was slamming her against the wall asking, "If he was here for the dime, where's the money?"
They moved out within a month. She saw me leaving the day they moved out and came up and apologized for causing trouble there. He never said anything to me, but her saying that made me think they knew I called the cops.

You can't help her if she won't help herself. If you call the cops but she denies everything than you are screwed.

I'm guessing that's what happened due to the footsteps overhead this morning. Sad, but all these battered women really need to see OJ Made in America. It's the tragic reality for these women.

Did you seriously start a thread asking if you should call the cops on your trash bag neighbor who is beating his wife? I've called the cops on my neighbor for beating his dog ONCE, but you had to poll the OT on the 4th go round? Jesus, dude.

The first two times I immediately called security. I was shocked I had to do it twice. The third time I slept on it, and then directly reported it to management the next day. Now it just happened again about 30 minutes ago and I called security, although that clearly isn't doing any good.
Is your last name Paterno?

that kind of shite really sucks, man. I have lived around folks like that before and it honestly, made me a nervous wreck. luckily, I got a transfer at work and moved away from those folks. I really can't see how people live like that their whole lives.

Happened to a friend of mine. Husband had a recorder on the phone when Bonnie told her sister she was leaving him.
The bastard shot her in the face 6 times with a .357 magnum. Her family couldn't even open her casket.
He called his equally piece of shite father and told him what he had done. His father told him he was on his way over there. Did not even call the police. I'm sure his plan was to help his son dispose of the body. By the time he got there the POS had reloaded and sent one through his own brain.

It's in the back of my mind since he can clearly narrow it down to 1 of 4 apartments who ratted him out, and he's clearly a violent psychopath.
Well then you might get a chance to beat the dogshit out of that piece of shite. It will make you and him a better man.

posts like that make wading thru the shite here all worthwhile

Anyone who would beat a woman or a child like that is not someone you should be scared of. There is a reason they do that shite, and it's because they can't do it to other men. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to that, and if I see it, I address it.
