I read that they were rushing to the windows and accidentally pushing out others who were at the windows. Some were confused and simply walked out of the window.

Does anyone know if Windows on the World was still in business during September 11th? It makes me nauseous thinking of the chefs, bartenders, waitstaff, etc. working that day with no way out.
The main restaurant and the GBOE weren't open, but Wild Blue was serving breakfast on the 107th and Windows On The World had a conference going on that morning on the 106th that they were serving for as well.

According to what I have read, unless somebody had pre-existing severe heart disease, the falling itself would not stop a human heart. Unless they were injured before contact with the ground, they remained conscious.

There is no way to sugarcoat it. The US electorate is going to have to decide what to do about Radical Islam. Count me in with those who say that appeasement of any kind won't work.

This is the Forever War.

I have a cousin who worked around the corner from the WTC. He watched in horror as those poor people fell from the windows. Fricked him up really bad, went to counseling for PTSD after the attacks.

It was a ROUGH time to be a New Yorker. Many of my high school buddies are NYPD and FDNY but miraculously all of them survived.

The saddest picture I believe i saw was a women who jumped with a skirt on... She was trying desperately to keep her skirt down. I'm assuming it was so to die with some dignity knowing it would be caught on film.

Makes me sick to my stomach for her...

fricking bastards. Saudi Arabia deserved to be nuked over that shite.

The bad thing is that we'll experience a worse "9/11" sometime relatively soon, and although I don't believe our government will be the direct cause, they won't stop it either. National tragedies cause normal Americans to support anti-American agendas and legislation.

Our leaders no longer work in the best interest of the American people. They haven't for a long time.

We, the American people, are nothing but a commodity to our elected leadership. We are nothing but cattle, to be used for whatever purpose our government desires including slaughter.

We all talk about how our elected officials never let a good tragedy go to waste. That's absolutely true. Elected officials from both parties pray for national tragedies. They wish for the slaughter of innocents. They embrace death...because death allows them to undermine us with policies that we would normally never support.

Sad but true.

Another 9/11 is coming soon.

Was just in NYC over Labor Day weekend.

Me too. What a tremendous monument they built for the victims with those footprint water falls. I think it symbolizes that day very effectively. The weather was also perfect, and was probably about the same weather they had that day.

That day just does it to me. I was 16 at the time. I watched some videos yesterday of the second plane hitting and was crying. I can think about almost any event past or present and not do that, but that day does it to me every time.

I don't know if I could do the museum. Don't think I want to listen to the 911 calls.

He's talking about things like the Patriot Act, TSA screening, wiretapping, etc.

Wrong. I'd like you to explain your position. I've already explained mine (with clarification from another poster)...

You certainly wouldn't have a soft landing.

You're right, I'd rather just jump and play my odds.

You're probably right. But I would prefer having the parachute as opposed to jumping without it.

I assume the person who posted this genius statement would rather take his chances jumping without a parachute.

What an idiot.
