What does Racoon taste like? Similar to squirrel? There's a place in GA that makes Coon Hash and I'm thinking about giving it a shot

Much like a pig, they need to be grain fed for a while to clean them out

Used to be a truck underneath the Washington St exit coming off the bridge that would sell coons and goo. Would see it every morning going to HS.

That's a good one. Alabama is famous for their coon dog cemetery up near muscle shoals. It's the Red Banks Community if memory serves me well.

I used to travel to Knoxville often and a little ways before Knoxville on I75 there was a hotel that appeared to be just mobile homes stacked end to end. Their sign out front said "We Have Color TV's". I'd always hated I didn't get a picture of it so about a year ago I was in the area and I went by to take a photo. It was no longer there.

S. Claiborne too. Coon and Taters for $15. It came in a plastic grocery bag. Little guy still had his paws for identification purposes. I didn't eat. Someone gave it to me as a gift.

That's in between atmore and uriah if I'm not mistaken. I hunt up that way. That dude has been selling animals or animal meats since I was a kid.

And sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know cause I'd never eat the filthy little motherfrickers.

Boss when I worked at XULa, brought some once, right after Christmas. It was cut in strips kind of like round steak, a touch tough, but in a black-pepper heavy gravy. It was edible.
