A security video from Sammy's Grill appears to show the argument that took place between State District Court Judge Mike Erwin and a black woman on the night he was accused of using a racial slur against her.

The grainy video does not have audio and it's impossible to make out the faces of the patrons seated around the bar on Feb. 3. The footage was provided to The Advocate by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office in response to a public records request for video of the incident.

The video shows a woman sharing a barstool with a man, sitting back to back, on a stool one spot down from the corner perch. When the man gets up to leave, someone from the woman's party slips into the seat. At that point, the man on the corner stool — whom The Advocate hasn't verified is Erwin — points his finger at her, and an apparent dispute breaks out between the man and members of the woman's party.

The man continues to point and gesture at the women in an argument that lasts about 2 minutes, until the women leave the bar area.
