I’m pretty close with my cousin, he and his family come stay at my house for a couple weeks every year (he retired a few years ago as a First Sergeant). He has some pretty badass stories. Not sure the full extent of his role was when he would travel with the president, but I know part of it was setting up sound proof booths inside of their hotel rooms
He once showed me a hotel bill that he had for one trip when he went with the President to Hong Kong. His bill was over 30k USD for a month stay
