Amateur season is upon us . . .

Traveling weekly, with lots of other business travelers who do the same becomes a routine and nothing breaks up the routine like the youth group of 50 high school kids in the matching neon green mission t-shirts, the frazzled couple with two strollers and 3 kids under 6 and a dad who desperately needs a drink, and the frantic couple sprinting through the terminal to get to a gate 20 minutes early. What else have you observed?

Are you ready? I saw my first youth group on Monday.

Here’s to you vacation travelers:

Yep, those amateurs are almost as entertaining as the seasoned weekly travelers who are usually mid-level managers with cheap blazers that are two sizes too big and dockers khakis that are a size too small with their beer guts hanging out who can't bear the thought of going home to their wife who in all honesty would rather not have them back around the home and whose kids hate them because they're never around.

But hey, I guess the world needs sad travelling salesmen too. Here's to you, brother.

I'm ready to go on vacation a week from today. All I can hope is my upgrades go through so I don't have to deal with the masses.

Just wait til the afternoon summer thunderstorms start everywhere. It's like people don't know that weather is usually worse in the afternoons or delays from the morning carry on throughout the day. I always try to book morning flights now

It's usually the one's yapping on their bluetooth or iphone headset about the million dollar deal they are going to close as soon as they land.

Nah. I look at y'all with pity. I don't need to start a thread calling you out in order to feel better about myself. Keep those numbers up!

That's right, my blazer fits just fine.

Lots of misplaced hate here.
