Calling all OT science types:

LiveScience article on creation of wormhole

Is this big news? Or just mumbo jumbo?

What is the significance that it apparently works on magnetic waves but not light? Or is that even right?

Can I dine at the Restaurant At The End of the Universe now?

A wormhole is the celestial reproductive orifice of the heavenly galaxy

A roach sees a light and understands it is exposed and needs to take cover from the light it sees. We are about 1 step above that in understanding it all.

The use of the word 'wormhole' in this instance is completely and entirely inaccurate. All they have done with that device is canceled out the magnetic field lines that would normally be there. A great feat of science and engineering but not a wormhole did they create...

That's what I kind of gathered. I have an extremely limited understanding of wormholes, but thought they dealt more with spacetime than magnetic fields. Seems like clickbait aimed at milennial pretend science geeks.

Yeah the caption in the article says it's a "cloak"... otherwise this would be huge. Think instantaneous communication across vast distances of space.
