I lived in Prescott for 3 years which is about an hour away from Sedona. I definitely suggest it.

Prescott seems like a cute lil town. Did you like living there? My husband loves mountainbiking up there and I love all the hiking trails.

I haven't been to Sedona since the recent fire near oak creek. You been? Can you see a lot of damage from the drive thru oak creek canyon up to Flag?

No clue on that, I haven't been in a couple years myself.

Sedona. It's like Gatlinburg if you were in a desert

Stayed in Prescott when I was working in Bagdad. Wanted to check our Whiskey Row but the night I went out, they had a huge fire at one of the historical buildings down there. It's a pretty cool place though.

Yeah... I'm one of those guys that has never been. 23 years in this state, and I've never seen the Grand Canyon. Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Lake Havasu, Sedona, Prescott, but never the GC.

Santa Fe is a beautiful town, but I think the artsy people may have ruined it.
I have never been to Sedona, but I think it might be almost the same way...from a few things I have heard.

If You like beautiful desert mountain views, incredible color and scenery, in a place without any high brow pretense, go to Moab, Utah.

Sedona is a good choice, but for future reference, Santa Fe is awesome too.

For what it's worth, having visited both several times, I'd probably go back to Santa Fe more often than Sedona. One of the most underrated destinations in the US.

Been to both.

Sedona by a mile. It's a bit odd, but not as fake as Santa Fe IMHO.

The spiritual stuff is spot on. There's a university there that specializes in Metaphysics.

Added benefit of flagstaff being 45 miles away and the Grand Canyon being 2 hours away.

ETA: I heard there had been fires, but did not see anything affected while I was there 2 weeks ago.
