A photographer has braved Russia's cold to capture a series of dream-like images of staggeringly beautiful Moscow during winter.

During its coldest months, Moscow's average temperature drops to -7.5 degrees Celsius and is frequently covered in snow.

Moscow has more billionaires than any other city. Its rich sectors are as rich as anywhere in the world - its poor are as poor as anywhere in the world.

Moscow is a stunningly beautiful city as long as you stay in the business and government areas. Looks like something out of Les Miserables a few miles out when you get to the communist block housing.
