Yes in Frenier. I've always wanted to know the exact spot so I could look for old bottles or metal if I knew about where the old town was.

Interesting read. Father-in-law used to go out to the ruins of Ruddock and dig for glass bottles. Still has quite a few of them.

That stretch always had some ominous vibes. I recall hearing back when I was a kid how people would dump bodies off the highway into the swamp back when it was the old road. The Ruddock launch got a reputation in the 80's for being a dangerous place to fish during the early AM hours as this was supposedly where drug trades and drug killings would take place outside NO. The old highway was known for some terrible car accidents.

Walked around there in early 1970s. Found a few shards of Delftware. Was very lonely.

Was bank fishing in Ruddock when a naked man snuck up to about 20 feet from me, bent over towards me and started to take a shite at a 45° angle. I had my knife with me so I pulled it out the sheath and Asked him if he wanted to die. I'd say they have some weirdos down that road.

How many people yelled that wildlife and fisheries were coming?

I was down a trail under 55. None. That's why I pulled my knife

Did you read that whole paper? Man, 1915 was a dangerous time. I think that single newspaper chronicles 200+ fatalities in one day.
