Just take Imodium Saturday before dinner and before bed.

Not a big rock n roll racer. Rather the Jazz which is the same route. Louisiana is my favorite half at the moment. Did a 1:50 two weeks ago. Taking a nice break before 5K season.

I agree with the pre race poop

The main reason I started drinking coffee was to clean the pipes on training and race mornings. Then, after reading about the benefits of caffeine while training and racing, now it has become a staple in my training diet.

One cup, strategically placed somewhere in my day. two cups on my real long summer days where I train hard before and after work.

Ryan I'm wanting to do the Jazz half ... It's actually an open date for LSU that weekend!!

Loved the La Half.

How were the crowds? I liked RNR because of the large crowd support on the course ... It doesn't look like the same route from what I saw ...

Wouldn't immodium end up causing you to be bloated???

Feels good. I am back to running about 16 miles a week with at least one high intensity tempo run or a track session per week. No issues on the bike as well, riding about 5 hours per week right now, but that's quickly going to pick up even more as NOLA 70.3 gets closer.

Every now and then, I can feel a little twinge and still limited in some ROM, but I've just got to be diligent about alot of stretching and continuing my strength exercises at least once a week.

65 degrees with 100% humidity.

It's going to be brutal for everyone that has been training in cold weather.

Good luck

Agree. I ran my last long training run in 32 degree and rising, Sunny weather and it was perfect. This will be a sweat fest.

Good solid poop? Check

Now to hydrate...this is gonna be tough with the humidity. Just plan on taking just a little bit of fluids at every stop and then seeing how I feel on the second 13.1. A little rain near the end of the race may actually help a bit. Good luck to everyone!!
