Ballpark 18-20k for 3 stop single opening traction with a scissor gate.

ETA: this is for new construction, elevator contract only. If adding to an existing house over 40k easily and that's adding a shaft to an exterior wall.

30k minimum to get it done right. Had to put one in my parents house 2 years ago.

You can get a decent elevator for around $20k.

My uncle has one.

No idea how much it costs but he's rich af. Retired General Mills executive. Lives on the beach of an island on the coast of South Carolina.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Actually they are becoming common, the last 6 houses
we built all had elevators, one went from the basement
to the attic.
