Formal sofas are for stuck up pussies. An uncomfortable couch that costs a ton is completely useless. Nobody uses their "formal living room", it's a complete waste of space. I'd much rather turn extra space into a legit home theater or a kids room, instead of taking the extra space and putting uncomfortable, super expensive furniture in it

If you're an uptight loser with a formal couch don't have people over.

How about relatives who don't know when to leave! Hey I think we are going to stay another night, y'all didn't have plans did you?

Or who don't mask and gown up before entering the house. How else are we going to prevent Ebola?

One such family member never fAils to complain about the temperature. Whatever it is, it's wrong. She even complains when the temperature is right, but the vent is blowing air directly on her. She has gone so far as to go over to the thermostat and adjust it herself without asking. I avoid having her over.

If you have a 'formal' couch and you dont have help to take away the dishes and wash them for your guests then you don't actually have a formal couch you are just a douche.

A formal sofa demands a formal contract.

Make 'em sign one or they don't eat.

I would give her the utility bill for the month

My fil recently walked into my house past me and kicked his feet up in my recliner. While he was flipping through the tv channels his wife was digging in my pantry! Now THAT is disrespect. I told them both to gtf out and the wife backed me up. All good

Most hosts/hostesses take great offense when their guests load the dishwasher. As for the sofa, go to rent-all place and get an extra table if you don't have adequate seating.

If I had someone staying at my house for 5 days, they would be required to put their dishes in the dishwasher and clean up behind themselves. If not, they would have to leave.

Tell your guests not to sit on your formal couch, and say that you expect them to put their dishes in the dishwasher correctly. Emphasize correctly .

Trust me, problem solved. Your guests will get together later and agree to never spend thanksgiving at your house.

If she is cold, pour hot coffee on her. If she is hot, dump a pitcher of ice water on her.

If she touches your thermostat, she is clearly trying to establish alpha male status and will be scissoring your wife soon. She must be tased or given an old fashioned, country arse whoopin'.

Handle your bidness.
