Currently have a 12 week old black lab. I have been using Waguespack on Siegen for years but looking to make change for personal reasons. Who does the OT recommend? Thanks in advance.

I'm not here to bash his business. He is a great guy and vet. I just disagree with how he handles some things. That's all.

Been using Helouin's for years but am probably going to switch to Sherwood South. They did great emergency work on one of my shepherds. Not impressed lately with Helouin's exam rooms.

sharing disagreements is not bashing, its the same as a yelp review. im just curious what makes one switch vets after what sounds like a decent amount of time.

Airline right before Choctaw on the right (if coming from BR). Carl is a big lab guy, and is often seen on local hunting channels, etc. That clinic is located there because they pull a lot of large animal business from rural areas north of Baton Rouge.

Very curious now too, have heard nothing but good things about him and was thinking of switching to there.

Either of the Helouin brothers. They are the best in town and have even handled the K-9s for the police force for over 20 years or something.

We were visiting family in BR and our dog got sick while in town, Helouin squeezed us in and was able to treat our beast better than the vets where we live.

Like I said he is a great guy and vet as well. I do not doubt his practice or advice. My parents brought our labs there growing up and I as well. He is just very brief. Quick to do surgery. Charges considerably high. What did it for me was boarding my 6 year old lab there on vacation to find out he died over the weekend and was still charged a "burial fee." After 10 years of bringing my dogs to him.

We used that clinic before and was not happy with them either. We currently use Dr. David Butler and really like him. Have been with him for about 15 years now.
