Recommend me Brake Pads and Rotors- Audi Q5

My wife's Audi Q5 needs new front brake pads and rotors. (60,000 miles) The Audi Oem's they sale at the dealership are overpriced for a soft pad that has major brake dust issues. I would also never pay the dealership $600 to replace my front brakes when I can do it myself in an hour.
My questions are in regards to performance brakes. I don't have much experience with performance brakes but have been told Hawk products are good. What would the car guys do?
Upgrade to performance pads and slotted drilled rotors? If so can you recommend an online site to purchase them from? What are other good brands besides Hawk?
I'm told ceramic pads won't put out much dust but I have never used them. Do they hold up well and is the performance good compared to semi metallic pads?
The Oem's were ok, but I'm looking for less brake dust and better wet weather stopping power from the new brakes.
Any suggestions?

I would buy the OEM parts and install yourself.

Short answer use rockauto to purchase the parts. I would go with a ceramic pad by ferodo, ate, or power stop. Going with a slotted and drilled rotor might be overkill, but it will help stopping, but will also increase brake dust (in my experience).

Thanks. That's what I'm trying to avoid. The Oem's pads are dusty as heck. Two to three days after a car wash the wheels are filthy.

Lol, not about that even thou I know this thread seems like I'm bragging. It's just a vehicle to me but the wife has had a few rough years and she really wanted it. Problem is the dealership is ridiculous on any work done and independents want to charge premium prices because they think your willing to blow money. I'm of the more sensible side and do maintenance myself when I can.
And... This Audi is still cheaper then the F150 King Ranches I see baws driving all the time.

Blanks provide more surface area than drilled and slotted, drilled and slotted are kind of an overkill for daily driver use. That being said ive got Powerstop dimpled/slotted and EBC green stuff pads (theyre ceramics) on my truck currently and would do it again in a heartbeat! Excellent upgrade. Hardly any dusting issues

Buys Audi, doesn't want/cannot afford to go OEM and wants to put Vatozone parts on it.

Not many people go buy Audis and later ask about discount brakes. Don't blame you but .

You can buy Callahan Brake Pads and Rotors at any Zalinsky Auto Parts retailer. He makes car parts for the American Working Man because that's who he is and that's who he cares about.

I love Hawks brake products. Used them for many years on my Acura. Normal brake dust, definitely less than my wife's Q5 with the OEM pads. Audi brake pads create dust like no other car.

I guess I need to remove the autozone question. I'm just not sure where to buy pads online. I have not been happy with the Oem's because of dusting. It's all over Audi forums and most people upgrade from Oem's.
So what I'm asking is recommend me a good pad that is better or similar to Oem's that are not Audi.
As far as paying the dealership, I like to work on the car. Why would I pay the dealership 600 for something I can do in an hour that Ive also done on all my other vehicles I've owned.

Ask on an Audi Forum. I suggest audizine.com

Agree with the OP. Wife has a q7 and the brake dust is just ridiculous. OP, check on the pad sensor wires, I think you are supposed to change those too. Tirerack.com is a decent source for info.

Use the Audi OE pads from the dealership. You can't go wrong.
