No I didn't. I never once referred to this abstract "space" outside of my last post where I conceded my area is more populated.

Your first reply to me was directly in response to me referring to this abstract space.

quote:

Yes if you don't know what the word means. You said "I have a, b, and c because I live in the suburbs." I said "I have all that in my neighborhood while living in the city."

I’m sorry. What can I say. You really made it look like you were increasing the boundaries in which a, b and c were located in multiple instances.

Let me be clear, all of that shite is right outside my fricking house. Not virtually, not a 20 minute bike ride from me, not in my neighborhood; it’s is adjacent to my property, which is a half an acre lot in a subdivision. And that is something that I will continue to contend is more likely to happen in a suburban area as compared to an urban one.

quote:

Golf courses are closed so no.

Let me guess, because it is public and closed due to the pandemic? Well mine isn’t. So you can scratch a, b or c from your list.

quote:

I'd bet any amount of money you want and you'd lose. Other than eating physically at restaurants or going to bars, my day to day hasn't changed at all.

I don’t do either of those anymore. Let’s just bet your house, it sounds really nice and I’d love to have a place in the city.

Much better place to ride out a pandemic.

Being in the middle of a city hasn’t been an issue here. But I can see how it would be nicer in the suburbs.

But eventually this will end. And then the suburbs will be back to being an extremely boring place to be. So, enjoy your moment I guess.

So what was this?

I’d still like an answer here. Seems like you were indeed trying to argue that you could expand your boundary indirectly by not believing mine.

Would that be a straw man sir?

The median Woodlands household got a stimulus check

Wonder how bad that is with the oil collapse.

right.

i just don't get why these texas suburb people act like it's something it's not. if you like it, great, i'm genuinely happy for you. just be honest about what it is.

It's all just about preference, and it is ok that people have different preferences. I'm not technically in the city limits, but not really in a suburb, I can get downtown in probably 15 minutes, traffic flows great here. I like the family neighborhood, even if the houses are cookie cutter, because its a great place for my kid to grow up and we do have good public schools.

I had a totally different view before I had a child and always wanted to be right in a city. But now I am ok being a little farther out. We got much more house, and newer, for our money. I also don't have a commute so that helps.

When I was in my early 20s living and working in the loop in Houston you could not have paid me money to live out in Katy or something.

I'm 18 miles out of the city in the country. It gets boring out here after a while. I wish the fishing was better.
