I had to emcee a kids' pageant once, and one of the last names was Feucht. Before the event started the mom approached me to tell me how to pronounce it, and it was not anything like it is spelled. (ETA: Foosh?)

When I got to the name on the list, it came out... I called the kid "fricked." Funny in hindsight, but I felt bad for screwing it up after being warned about it.

I went to school with a Richard Richard (thats Richard Reeechard, for non-Louisianians).

Also had a school bus driver at my school named "Woodrow Boudreaux."

I remember from Summer camp back when I was growing up, there was an Indian brother and sister that attended. The brother was Sanjay Gopu, which is normal, but the sister was named Anita Gopu. We had a field day with that one.

My mom lived near two sisters with the same names in Harahan 50 or so years ago. I also had friends (changing first names here) Jane Harry and John Booty that got married....the Harry/Booty wedding. Also, went to school with a guy named Peter Cucchi(pronounced coochie).

I used to. Heard he got murdered buying crack. But I heard the story third hand. I went to school with his stepson.

He played a big part in landing Saban the LSU job. They were poised to go on a nice run in the Big 10.

In junior high, we had a P.E. coach that would call roll by yelling out "Mr." followed by the last name. One kid that was really quiet and just showed up at our school that year would answer to "Mr. Bob". We thought that was a strange last name, so we snuck over to the roll book one day and saw that his legal name was actually First Name: Mister, Last Name: Bob. Rumors were he had a brother named "Sir". He didn't come back to school the next year.
