That's the thing ppl don't know how to use them.
If you know how to use a yield sign, then a roundabout is no problem. The issue is that people largely ignore yield signs because they're uncooperative assholes.

The state loves them due to there being less to maintain

One of the biggest benefits is reduced conflict points reducing crashes. A 4 leg intersection has 32 conflict point, but a roundabout has only 8.

People don't know how to use center turn lanes, signals, lane merges, etc.
Stupidity/ignorance is never a good reason to do or not do something.

Could someone make this suggestion at Nicholson and Brightside. May be an issue with the tracks, but that intersection is just brutal. I know the city annexed it. Someone get Kip on the phone.

Uh... no.

You must not know how roundabouts work.

Like I said, just going off of what the district traffic engineer told me.

pavement marking, shoulder and centerline rumble strips and stripes, commuter carpooling and
vanpooling, rail-highway crossing closure, or installation of traffic signs, traffic lights, guardrails, impact

No electricity. No huge traffic lights. No worry with synchronization. Documented increase in traffic backup. They're being utilized heavily throughout LP as a cost saving and traffic reduction feature. They are radically inexpensive compared to intersections both up front and over the life of a light (electricity, etc).
Will be a huge improvement on Florida.

They were always an adventure in Colorado when they first started installing them in the rural communities. It wasn't uncommon to see someone exiting on an incoming lane. The also didn't have a clue who had the right away at first.
Once people figure them out they're much more efficient.
Unless of course you're here in Africa. It's a horn blowing clusterfrick at every one with little chinese motorcycles weaving through the cars. First to get the nose of their car out has the right away.

The "right away"?
Try "right of way".

Well, that's not exactly the case... state funds will still be used, but I ain't typing a wall of text to explain why.

I'm thinking that was a typo and should have said documented decrease.

I drove the roundabout in Paris that goes around the Arc de Triumph. That's a freaking beast to navigate. It's like 5-6 lanes wide and there is no lane markings at all. I had to make 3 rotations to get to the road I needed to go down. It was like a giant toilet bowl swirl

Absolutely correct. I made a mistake. Thank you for pointing it out.
