my bloodhound would just waltz into the kitchen and open up the refrigerator...and then look at you like "what???" when you yelled at her

We’ve had an Aussie for 9 years. She’s smart but fricking stubborn. Alpha attitude even as a pup and we really had to work with her.

Recently got a Golden that’s only 10 weeks old now. Basically came home house trained. Smartest dog I’ve ever seen. She’s already got about 6 commands down.

We have a dog that’s half poodle and half Shih Tzu. Guess that means one of his parents was a dog genius and the other a dog idiot.

Border Collies are smart because the shepherds left them alone with the herds and they had to solve any problems that arose.

Aussie Shepherds at 69 - too low and not consistent with other lists.

Shih Tzu is not dumb, they just don't give a frick to listen to your commands.

Poodle, best fricking dog ever.

I keep hearing about how border collies are too smart for their own good.

If you don’t keep them occupied, they’ll find a way to keep occupied. Like disassembling a porch one board at a time.

We have a Lab who is the best dog I’ve ever had but I spent many hours training him to duck hunt. Also have a labradoodle and I haven’t spent as much time training her but she is extraordinarily smart.

My Border Collie, when bored, figures out ways to set up the Aussie Shepherd to get into trouble.

She'd remove something tempting from the kitchen trash can and leave it on the floor. The Aussie would come up and get it, then I'd see the Aussie with it and scold the Aussie.

I finally busted the Border Collie
