You're aware caffeine is found in nature, right? It's not made in a lab generally. Caffeine is naturally in chocolate. So it's not just "some drug" because it's not a drug at all.

A can of soda has about 35 mg of caffeine in it, that's nothing .

Pussy

You probably have to hammer a pot after a night of drinking just to make it through a day. Pussy.

Thanks. Less anxious and worrisome about things? Did you sleep better?

I did it about a year ago...I was not a heavy drinker of caffeine and it really wasn't too bad except for having a dull headache every morning and one hell of a taste for a cup of coffee as I walked by the pot on the way into work...

after a week, I didn't get headaches any more...

overall I can't say not drinking caffiene made me feel any better at all, so I started it back up again solely out of convenience...

I drank two pots before I went to work every morning for almost twenty years. Jitters are long gone and I sleep like a baby. Maybe the sleep part though has to be with getting older. Caffeine is good for you but water is better.

I don't think they're suggesting that you ingest 400mg per day. I think it's more like a safety guideline.

Well obviously

If you like the morning coffee though there don't really seem to be any benefits to cutting it completely.

Yeah, I quit cold turkey due to it messing my stomach up. A welcomed bonus, I'm not on edge/anxious throughout the day.

ETA: I was a little irritable for a few days, but nothing major.

I had to make sure I had Aleve on hand when I put the kabosh on Coca Cola. I went from constantly drinking sodas at work to only having one or two a week and my headaches were BAD the first week or so.

Why quit caffeine anyway? I take caffeine pills (200 mg per) but I also workout and have a demanding work/school load.

Some people don't need the adrenal response?

I mostly quit maybe a year and a half ago. I just have the occasional coca cola now, maybe an average of once a month. It just kind of levels things off. I find that I didn't really concentrate all that well when I was drinking coffee anyway. It just made me feel wired.

Try the decaff coffee and drinks first instead of cold turkey. then decide.

Same here. I always reached for it when I had work to do, but inevitably i'd get a spaced out/lightheaded feeling.

Are you really suggesting drugs dont come from nature? Where the hell do you think nicotine and cocaine come from? Better yet, how about penicillin?

Wife did it when she got pregnant. She didn't have any problems. She was drinking 4-5 cups of coffee a day. (Big cups)
