I've got to be in Lafayette tomorrow morning for 8 coming from St. Tammany. How bad has the traffic been through BR on I-12 around 7 am?

Leave tomorrow morning, and you will get through Baton Rouge by Saturday noon.

It's a crap shoot. Some days there's no traffic and some days it's dead stop.

Leave a little early and if you don't hit traffic, you can stop and grab some breakfast when you get through BR. Check Waze before you leave

I would plan it so you will be passing through Baton Rouge around 6ish. Not much later than that.

You'll never get there in time.

Man you'd be safer running to 90 thru HOUMA. If anything happens from LP past the MRB you are fricked.

Just adding to this. You can see a drive by using the "later" function. You type what time you'd like to arrive and it will tell you a recommended time to leave. I suggest adding 15 to that. Hasn't failed me yet. (Barring an accident)

Cool, I've never even used that. It's actually the "planned drives" tab.

Depending on where you are in that parish, I would suggest leaving at 5am.

7 AM isn't usually too bad in Baton Rouge. Not sure about Livingston Oariah at that time. I wouldn't push it too much later.

Fridays are usually a little better as well. I think you'll be ok.

I didn't know this was a thing. I just checked and according to Waze I should be fine leaving at around 6. We'll see...

If you are coming through around 7 you are fine unless there is an accident. In that case it doesn't matter when you leave. Coming back through at 3 you are ok. Much past that you will creep.

I've done it daily for 50 years.

If you wait that late, you will not be in lady for 8. Dead serious I'd wanna go through br no later than 620 leaving walker at 620 puts me on college drive right at 7. And the later it gets the worse it gets.
