.5 mph over the speed limit. They write an extra ticket for those who premeditate speeding.

Set your cruise at 70, stay in the right lane, and enjoy your drive. You will arrive on land right behind the dickhead that drives 80 between the crossovers weaving in and out of traffic slowing to 65 at the crossovers.

I did it for 2 years and went 5-10 over and never had a problem. It seemed like they didn't pull over speeders going the same direction as the main flow of traffic unless they were really driving like assholes.

My strategy for 11 years of ticket free driving on the Causeway. I haven't had to de daily commutes the past 4yrs, but still cross at least twice a week. Sirius is a must if a regular commuter.

I drive it daily, it's hard to speed with the commuter traffic. If there is a lot of space, I usually set cruise at 71.

I go 69-70. No problems. Also make sure you are going the posted limits in the zones at the end. My only ticket i've ever gotten was coming off on the North end before they brought the 45 zone in closer to the end of the bridge. It used to extend out further. I was coming home late one night from work. When I got to the 45 sign I clicked off my cruise and started slowing down and made sure I was going 45 when I got to the end. Cop shot me with laser over a half mile, he was standing in the middle of the bridge at the end. 55 in a 45. Pisser.
