This thread might help.

Tons of suggestions from a lot of posters. Everyone is a slightly different fan of fantasy. Which is why the thread was a lot of fun to read.

When discussing WoT, I never heard anyone mention the prequel though. I haven't read it.

As Carson said Amazon.

Or see if you live near a 2nd & Charles. They are a national used book store that is owned by Barnes & Noble. Their stuff is incredibly cheap. My wife and I routinely leave there with 8-10 books for less than 25 bucks. Plus, their selection is roughly triple or quadruple the number of books the "New Book" brick and mortar retailers carry.

Which beach and what direction? Your info says Baton Rouge, so going off of that, there is a 2nd and Charles in Convington. Might could stop off on the way.

WoT is pretty great but after a while it begins to drag. By the time I finished it I was ready to be off any type of fiction for a while. If wanting great fantasy I always fall back to Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone series. Probably one of the best ever written. The Chronicles of Amber are pretty cool also and a little break from the standard Sword & Sorcerer genre.

Get friends and a TV, then you won't have to read books like a loser.

I generally enjoy your posts

You seem like a real a-hole

I think we'd get along well IRL

ETA: but I do enjoy some fantasy series (I started the nerds book thread on the movie/tv board) so maybe we wouldn't get along

Just like that, our friendship is over

Dude I read all the song of ice and fire shite and post about it regularly.

The thing is, I don't own a TV or have any friends. That was supposed to be a cautionary post, not an a-hole post.

Sorry if I was unclear.

Skip fantasy and read The Expanse series for some great scifi.
