If my memory serves me well, they have epic sales in January and July.

I buy all my work clothes from here, but only buy when they have some shite on sale that makes sense for me to buy at that time.

ETA: You can be clever and sign up for a corporate discount @ 25%. My former company Reliant Energy has an account...go for it.

I've bought 4 suits from there. 1 travelers wool navy ($125), 1 tan and 1 olive green poplin ($75), and a olive green corduroy ($38). I caught those sales at the right time. Took them to a tailor and they all look good. They're all holding up fine and I have no complaints

Not even in the slightest. I wear jeans and t-shirts 95% of the time I go out. I don't have a nice watch. I drive a car with 150+ miles I bought when I was in college.

I do, however, like nice suits.

I was just in a store yesterday. The Signature Gold line is the only one I would buy. Signature line is OK, Executive line is pure crap. Yesterday their Signature Gold line was on sale for $297 ($1,295 regular price) and they are worth $300 but nowhere near worth regular price.

But as others have said they have some name brand shoes you can look at as well.

The higher end suits and signature collection are pretty good in my opinion. You can definitely get better quality elsewhere , but for the money, JosABank is a great deal. You don't have to buy 3'to get the best deal. Each associate has the ability to give you 60-65% off without the deals. You just need to find the right person to help.

Just wait for a sale and get some shirts and ties. Maybe some dress socks?

Yeah I'd skip the suit and get some basics there. Better suits for less can be had elsewhere despite their enticing marketing campaigns.

Their shirts and sweaters are a better deal.

I almost snagged a seersucker the other day from them, but I just can't justify it because of how often I'll wear it.

I get the 3 for the price of 1 at those sells when I need suits. The shirts are fine. I have to where suits very often though, so I need more than a regular guy might. I read on here all the time when clowns say how they are marked up, Yoda yada yada.

Who cares when I get 3 suits for $200-400?

Yeah, a true OT Baller won't stock his wardrobe with Jose Bank suits, but their stuff is reliable for the average guy for everyday wear. Their traveler dress shirts are sharp and wrinkle-free and go on ridiculous sales every now and then. I bought a couple last year for 40 bucks apiece and totally worth it. You might want to consider getting like 5 of those and adding some casual wear.

There whole pricing/marketing scheme is "Reg. price for this suit is $800. But get it today for $200"!" Read that as meaning that the "regular" for the suit is $200 since there is literally a "BIG" sale everyday.

Never, NEVER, pay full price for anything at Jos. A Bank. If I had a $400 gift card I wouldn't spend it all at one time. Check the website from time to time and see if there are things you like. If so, just wait for those items individually to go on their "BIG" sale. They probably won't do so all at the same time though.

For instance, today a dress shirt might be $90 (full price). Tomorrow that same shirt could be on sale for $40. Wait a little longer and at some point that shirt will be on sale for $19.99 (even if just for one day) if you're willing to be patient, you can get several items of clothing there for very cheap.

IMO, their dress shirts and pants are fine. They're not going to fall apart after 10-15 washes. Their suits certainly aren't luxurious, but they'll get the job done for day to day wear. If you want a really nice suit, go somewhere else.

I bought suits here for a wedding so learned the best sales.

Suits - best possible deal is 75% off. Comes around once every 2-3 months. Buy 1 get 2 free is only 66% off and your forced to buy 3. Wait for the 70 or 75% discount and suits are like $160. Then you can buy as many as you want.

Ties - best deal is buy one get 2 free. Works out to about $27 per tie. They do this often.

Button Downs - I like there traveler button downs $99 regular but these don't go on sale very often. They do buy 1 get 2 free every once In a while. At $33 a piece these are nice dress shirts
(These button downs are usually excluded from store wide sales)

Their suits and shirts are horribly tailored IMO. They actually deteriorate after a certain amount of time and just tear at the seems and threads just give its terrible. I think they have decent ties, however. Maybe get some Cole haan shoes there

I went in there to buy some khaki pants recently.

Sticker price was $115 and there was no indication that a sale was going on. No way I was paying that much for khakis.

The sales girl grabbed the pair off the shelf and scanned it at the register, and told me the price is actually $60, and if I buy 2 pairs, the price comes down to $50 per pair.

I bought 2 pairs. They seem to be better quality than my old pair.

I hit up the buy one get three free suit sale a few years ago. The nicest suits are expensive, but with the gift card you could buy 3 $900.00 suits for 500 bucks. If you don't wearca suit every day they hold up well.

They also can order anyone you like in your size so your not limited to just your size at the store.

Their shirts are nice. I bought a bunch of them when they had a good sale. They hold up well and they are good quality.
