I always bring the rope and tent that I use to mark off my spot on the neutral ground before Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. Works like a charm.

Sometimes I set up ladders for the kids at the pool if there is a scenic view. People complain that they can't see but I just laugh, tell them to get there earlier, and jump behind my magic rope for protection.

I stayed at the Mansion on Turtle Creek a few weeks ago and some a-hole family had laid claim to 4 chairs at the very small pool. In the 3 hours we were there we never saw them.

I'm at a restaurant/bar in the Houston airport right now and there were two people at the bar with their bags in the seat next to them. They weren't saving those seats for anyone, they just didn't want to put them at their feet. Dick move.

We rent chairs in Florida on the beach so there's no problem there and I don't do big all inclusive resorts

If they are holding it while they use the bathroom or swim, it's fine. I hate when people do it all day like before lunch and then go for an after lunch swim.

The fatties do this at the condo I live in every damn Saturday. One fatty will stay out there while they put fatty type stuff on 3-4 other chairs. The fatties rotate most of the day and never go more than 30 minutes without eating some fatty pool snack. I'd say they are all out there actually using the chairs maybe an hour out of the whole day. Every time a new fatty comes out it is carrying a tub of some sort of fatty food or dip to go with their fatty chips.

WTF is wrong with you? You forgot to use some form of fatty in this sentence! Should have said the fatties instead of they.

Stayed at a sandals and woke up every morning at 4 to claim the bed on the beach cabanas. Had to beat the butlers out there but it was worth it to have a bed on the beach all day. One morning the butlers taught me how to make the heart towels so no one knew the difference between me reserving it or butlers

Don't go to trashy condos with 400 rooms. The one where I am has one row and enough setups for everyone.

Why don't you just move their shite if they aren't there? I have no problem with people saving seats if at least one person is present. But the towel shite is BS. I'd move their towel. What are they gonna do? Start a fight?

I go to the beach 3-4 times per year and have never had difficulty getting a beach set up. If there are not enough out just talk to the beach service dude and he'll get another for you. I've also not seen one family claim more than one pair of chairs per couple. I've also not seen people move other people's stuff, nor has mine ever been moved. With the kids I move back and forth between the pool and beach every hour or two.

So this morning I got up at 5am because of my fatty sleep apnea and decided to head out early to the donut shop to get the first 4 dozen donuts cuz the oil is fresher and, on the way I claimed a beach setup with my fatty float rings, ice chest and fatty kids' toys. After enjoying a light breakfast we tossed the 4 donut boxes and headed to the beach. Got here at about 9:45. Did some fatty floating and after a few minutes went and took a nap in the beach chairs. Well, it's 10:20 and I'm famished so we headed up to the condo. Can't decide on whether to eat the bologna we brought from home or head out to Golden Coral. I'd like to stay here and eat in so I can nap in the bed, but the wife says bologna isn't enough nourishment for growing kids and insists that the fried okra, mac and cheese and biscuits with white gravy will help them maintain their weight. Either way, it's a good thing we can reserve our setup with the inner tube for when we get back out around 4:00.
