Does it give the property owner license to air them out if they are on his land without permission?

That's really the most important question.

Louisiana has "Stand Your Ground" laws in place, and with the way those laws are written, property owners can use deadly force. When KALB-TV wrote about Louisiana's "Stand Your Ground" laws, they summed it up like this:

"Here in the bayou state, that means any Louisianan can use force, deadly or otherwise, to protect oneself on his or her property."

Landowners don’t have to mark shite. If you do not have written permission stay the F off.

The purple paint is the universal sign for No Tresspassing and is used everywhere….mot just in Louisiana

It is not used everywhere. It is not even the law one state over(MS). There is no paint color law in 28 states and 3 of the 22 that have a paint law use a different color. 2 are orange (ID & MT) and 1 is blue (MA).

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but this isn't exclusive to LA. Thanks.

I like that part of it. The spacing is sensible. We found that signs can be torn down, but paint is harder to remove when we posted our land since the previous owners had given permission to toomany people. ,many from out of the county.

Good Law. Not exclusive to LA. Other states have it too.

This reminds me of a story that my HS football coach told me. He had a killer DB that was about 5'11 200 lbs and could run like a deer. The problem was that the kid was in special ed and couldn't read. One day the coach drove the kid home from practice and in his truck he had a "NO TRESPASSING" sign that he was about to hang up on his land. The coach asked the kid if he knew what the sign said. Without hesitation, the kid answered "No fishing". The coach said he couldn't argue with that.

Mississippi has tried to pass a purple paint law a few times. This year House bill 1667 died in committee. My 2 private land neighbors are good folks, but I post the hell out of my national forest boundary.
