You know a lot of times I would probably side with you on the fight against people around here, but why the fck would you want to line up with this group of bullshite protesters?
They are annoying assholes who are pushing for a meaningless cause. It means nothing and will change nothing if they get their way.

No different than the assholes who claim to be Christians who will be on Bourbon street tonight yelling at people that they are going to hell.

Saw them with a "wanted" poster for some confederate general. About 75% of them were white millinials.

Didn't say a word, at least while I was there. Looked like they were just trying to take some quick promotional photos and not really protesting. Or at least were doing the civil protests of the 60's, which is cool with me.

While I was there they had what appeared to be their own film crew filming them and one of the guys was yelling something at the camera. Couldn't hear with the music. There is a right place and a right time for that, and IMHO this wasn't it.

They should just get over it. All those old guys fought and died for their right to protest.

I think it showed the vast majority of people, white and black, really don't care about this.

I tried to read one of the wanted posters, but the protestor was moving it too much. The signs were too busy to get the point across. I figured one of those hipsters would have had a design degree to prevent that

Agree 100%. This crowd could have cared less. There were a few people that made attempts to talk with them but for the most part people, black and white, looked at them, shook their heads and went about their business

Silly protest but they're not hurting anyone or bullying anyone or committing acts of vandalism or violence. It's what a protest should be. Other groups should take note.

Yep. That's why most just moved on.

I hope they bought some food to support the cause.

Yea, I may not agree with them. Actually, I feel the exact opposite of them, but it is their right to protest, and they are not harming anyone, or anything.

My only apprehension is that French Quarter Fest rented "Jackson" Square for this event, so it was essentially private property at that point. I guess that is why they got shut down. Kudos to them for not causing a big stink once they were asked to stop.

Exactly. A peaceful protest is great. I am all for people being able to voice their opinion but they can't come ruin everyone else's day.

Is it wrong I almost wish they had. It might of done more harm than good, for their cause

It would have made good for the propaganda video they were filming, but I guess at that point they felt their "message" had been heard.
