What's the best place in BR (Jefferson Hwy/Bluebonnet or O'Neal areas) for propane refills? Tired of getting ripped doing the exchange.

Thanks

Hardware stores or U-Haul. Just got topped off this morning at U-Haul for $4/gal or pound or whatever it is the measure in.

Yup. Say an exchange is $20 and they only fill the exchange tanks to 75%. A full fill is usually about $15 and they fill it 100%.

Or you can just buy a tank at lowes and refill when needed at your local hardware joint.

How about buying a tank at your local hardware joint and having it filled at the same time!

I have two tanks, one in use and the second is full and ready to go. I get them filled at Brother's Ace Hardware on Millerville just south of I-12, but as noted by others, most hardware stores refill the tanks.

As for Blue Rhino and similar services, read the fine print: tanks hold 20# of propane but are only filled with 16#.

"Poor folks" across the river.

3.49 a gallon.

Cheapest I've found.

Tractor supply in Zachary was 2.69 a gallon...they finally realized they were screwing themselves.
