I wasn't sharing "knowlegde." I was stating an opinion, and I stand by my opinion. Consider yourself very, very lucky you got your kids into that school.

Have you looked into the academic magnet schools in BR?

They have to let a few randoms in each year to meet some requirements to get public funding.

Really, I assume you are looking for for something easily accessible to the interstate based on your options. Of the ones you listed, St George seems to be a great school. My kids are at St Jude and play sports with a lot of the St George kids. Most of them have been kids I have no problem letting my kids be around.

The only drawback I could find with them, and it's not that big of a deal, is the number of sections per grade. It is a big school. There are a few things they do with their sports programs that I am not crazy about. But, like I said, I'd have no hesitations if my kids were in that district rather than St Jude.

Poorly worded snark on my part. While I have no issue with all different people, diversity isn't a priority.

Thank you for that. It sounds bigger than most.

Accessibility is a factor to a degree, I'm not going to lie. Neither my husband or I work in the same place day in, day out. So having something relatively close and accessible has to happen.

They're fine academically. They feed into St. Michael's High School though, which is shitty.

Doesn't matter. A student from MBS that is academically qualified and not a discipline problem will have no issues getting into CHS/SJA. There have been years where close to 50% of MBS's class applied and were admitted to CHS/SJA.

The tie to St.Michael's is more of a geographic thing.

CHS/SJA does not differentiate between applicants from the various diocesan elementary schools. Cypress Heights is not a diocesan school.

I will throw this out at you. It seems maybe ya'll don't live in this area. Give some thought to that. If your kid is going to be playing sports and going to St G, you are going to be doing a LOT of driving. I am lucky that I live right next to the school and the fields that my kids are practicing on 4 nights a week. The people who drive in from Ascension, Livingston, or even over by Shenandoah...it is much more stressful.

If you're living in ascension but driving to BR for private school...well...you're doing it backwards. Your kids are going to want to live around the other kids that they are going to school with. Just something to consider.

Outstanding school for an outrageous price. Worth it if you can afford it, but if you have to ask, you probably can't.

For being such a pretentious douche bag, i hope i live somewhere nice enough that i don't have to send my future kids to private school. It's so expensive.
